SCREENING AND IDENTIFICATION OF CRISPR NUCLEASE (CAS) SPECIFIC APTAMER
In Progress
This is my final year project during final year in degree. The project is still in progress. Basically, this project is about genetic engineering where I use a protein called Cas13a to edit the desired RNA sequence. To deliver the protein Cas13a into the target site (eg. cell), I use aptamer, an oligonucleotides which is a single stranded DNA / RNA or peptide as it is very specific toward the target that we want. So my job is to produce aptamer that highly specific toward Cas13a from the DNA pool through a process called GO-SELEX (graphene oxide - systematic evolution of ligands by exponential enrichment).
